Dec 9: Fundraiser for Heart Gallery
Dec 10: Public Opening
The Heart Gallery is a nationwide grassroots effort to bring adoptive families together with children in state protective custody who want and need to be adopted. The concept of pairing adoptive kids with professional potographers who volunteer their time and services to create touching portraits has been a national phenomena. The Heart Gallery concept was created 4 years ago in Santa Fe, New Mexico by photographer Cathy Maier Callanan and CYFD Special Events Coordinator Diane Granito. The program has been so successful that today it exists in over 70 cities in 40 states.
Portraits for the 2005 Heart Gallery were created by photographers Tony Bonanno, Jennifer Esperanza, Cathy Maier-Callanan, Reid Callanan, David Goldberg, Sigfried Halus, Toba Tucker, Karen Kuehn, Diane Duennzl, Don Usner, Julie Courvoiier, Dan Barsotti, Patricia Leigh, Steve Simmons, Jane Bernard, Gabriel Holton, Nicole Lewin, Jane Phillips, Chp Simons, Cheron Bayna, Calire Lighton, Kate Russell, Ned Bittinger, Jamie Hurt, Polly Brown, Greg Erf, Don Gray, Renie Haiduk, Tim Anderson, Sarah, Bishop-Root, Tim Andrson, Paul Glickman, Wendy McEahern, Deborah Safaie, Jackie Mathey.
